There are many possibilities for variety using the basic hat pattern. With a glue gun, wire, fabric and trims, you can create elegant hats. The crown and brim can be cut from the same fabric and then the inside of the brim can be cut from a contrasting material. The inside of the brim may be left plain or a single or a double shirred lining may be added.
Hats may have a fully lined crown or may have a grosgrain ribbon inner hatband sewn in that covers the brim crown seam and eliminates the need for a lining. Directions are given for the following variations.
